In October, we’re launching a crowdfunding campaign to help fund our first production run of planet-saving, plastic-busting personal-care and home-cleaning products. We'll deliver direct to your door, minus the single-use plastic packaging. It’s simple: you order, we deliver, you return, we refill.
Eliminate single-use plastic packaging from your kitchen, laundry & bathroom...

The average Aussie household uses about 200 single-use plastic bottles every year in their kitchen, laundry and bathroom. That’s more than 500 million nationwide. Imagine if that became zero. Nada. Zilch. It is possible and you can make a difference.
Let’s turn off the plastic tap. For good.
So how does it work? It's simple!
Our re-usable dispensers will be made from recycled plastic waste rescued from our seas. This means:
- We're stopping the production of new plastic, turning off the tap at the top of the supply chain
- We're removing existing plastic pollution from our oceans, cleaning up the mess at the bottom of the supply chain.
Our re-usable refill sachets will be made from recycled plastic bound for landfill.
We've partnered with Pack Tech and Ocean Waste Plastics to create our dispensers. Every Zero Co dispenser comes with a tracking code so you can see which part of the ocean the plastic was collected from.
By joining the Zero Co movement you're helping turn the tide on single-use plastic with every single purchase...
Fighting plastic at both ends of the supply chain.
We guarantee our planet-friendly products actually work (or your money back)

A radically new way of doing business…
Here at Zero Co we believe in a no BS approach to business. To prove that, we're going to be radically transparent with you about everything we do. EVERYTHING! To give you an example of what us being radically transparent means to you, here's a detailed breakdown of what it would cost us if you stepped up to the plate and purchased a Start Box during the crowdfunding campaign ($129 including all 10 launch products).
NOTE: The cost to offset carbon emissions from our deliveries will be different for each order. The above figure is an average estimate for metro deliveries. Once we've launched, we will calculate the carbon emission of each actual order and purchase certified carbon credits to offset our carbon footprint. We will have more to announce about this shortly. $5 from every Starter Pack donated to charity
You may have heard of the "1% for the planet" movement, where companies donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes. We're going waaaaay beyond that and donating close to 5% of sales to a range of not-for-profit organisations and local community groups taking action to protect the planet.
How does it work? Every time a member of one of the following groups purchases a Zero Co Starter Pack, we donate $5 to that organisation. Want to add your organisation or community group to our partnership program? We'd love to hear from you!
But I'm not a member of one of those groups. Do you still donate $5 on my behalf? And where does it go? Yep we do! $5 from every Starter Pack sold will be donated to charity. Our default funding partner is The Seaweed Project - an ambitious project aiming to build large-scale seaweed farms to combat climate change, ocean acidification and fishery depletion.

Who's behind this whole thing?
Hi there, my name is Mike Smith…yep that’s my actual name!
Thanks for taking the time to stop-by and check out Zero Co. It's our mission to eliminate single-use plastic packaging from every Aussie kitchen, laundry and bathroom.
The idea for Zero Co started forming during a 12 month trip around the world with my wife, Alyssa, in 2018. We visited some of the most far-flung corners of the planet. It was the trip of a lifetime! But everywhere we went, there was one thing we couldn’t escape…plastic waste. It was literally everywhere.
Since then I’ve been working my butt off trying to create a solution to the single-use-plastic problem and this is it. It’s not perfect and we’re going to make mistakes along the way. But the time is now to do something in the fight against plastic.
You can show your support by signing up to our mailing list so we can keep you up-to-date on our progress.
Thanks again for your support. Together we can put an end to single-use plastics!
It has to start somewhere,
It has to start sometime,
What better place than here,
What better time than now.

Hang on. I've got more questions...
Got a question we haven't answered? Get in contact with us and we'll answer it and add it to this list...
Can I see a full ingredients list for each of your products?
Of course you can! We wouldn't be radically transparent if we didn't share that information with you! We're just putting the finishing touches on each of our formulas and as soon as they're complete we'll be uploading the full ingredient list to this website.
I don't use all your products. Can I just buy the ones I use / want?
Yup. Buy what you want. Get it delivered when you need it.
Is this a subscription thing or can I just buy what I want, when I need it?
No subscriptions, lock-in contracts, hidden fees, or BS. Buy what you want. Get it delivered when you need it.
How exactly is the plastic being collected from the ocean?
We're working with a packaging company called Pack Tech who have created an initiative called Ocean Waste Plastics. You can read more about them, where they collect plastic from and how they do it here.
What are the dispensers made from?
The bodies of our dispensers (the bottle section) are made from 100% recycled plastic waste rescued from our seas. The pump and trigger mechanisms are made from a combination of ocean waste plastic (approx. 70%) and virgin material (approx 30%). Right now the technology doesn't exist to manufacture moving parts, airtight seals or high-friction pieces from 100% recycled materials. But don't worry, we're working on this problem. As soon as is humanly possible we'll be making 100% of every piece of our packaging from 100% recycled plastic rescued from the sea.
Where is your packaging manufactured?
Our packaging is manufactured by Pack Tech in China. What are the facilities and working conditions like? We'll be releasing a full report on this very soon. Sign-up to our mailing list for updates.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in an Australian family owned facility in Victoria. We will be releasing lots of details about our manufacturing facility, processes and supply chain very soon. Sign-up to our mailing list for updates.
What happens if part(s) of my dispenser break?
We've engineered our dispensers to last a lifetime. But the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. If part(s) of your dispenser do happen to break, whatever you do, don't throw it away! Send it back to us with your next refill-sachet-return and we'll aim to fix it. And if we can't do that we'll recycle it.
Do I have to purchase Zero Co dispensers or can I use ones I already have?
Nope, you don't have to purchase our dispensers. If you just want to start buying our refill sachets and filling up an old bottle you've got at home that's totally fine. Remember though, that every time you purchase one of our dispensers it's directly resulting in plastic being pulled out of the ocean.
What are your refill sachets made of?
Our re-usable refill sachets will be made from post-consumer recycled plastic. That's a fancy way of saying plastic that's bound for refill.
How long will the refill sachets last? And what do I do with them at the end of their life?
The honest answer to the first question is we just don't know. The brief we gave to our industrial designer was "make them last a lifetime". We've done some stress testing on the refill pouches and so far, so good. Will they last a lifetime? We won't know that (for sure) for about 82 years. When the refill sachets reach the end of their life we'll be recycling them.
Can the postage paid satchels be re-used?
Good question. We are working with a number of partners to try and answer this. But we are getting closer. Stay tuned on this one.
Will you ship nationwide? And is shipping free?
Yes and yes (on orders over $80). Rates for shipping on orders under $80 will be advertised on our website once we've launched.
How are you deciding which charities to support?
We're willing to support and work with any Australian not-for-profit organisation or local community action group that's genuinely committed to fighting against plastic production, consumption and pollution. We'll work with any group, large or small, as long as they're committed to achieving results and share our principals of radical transparency. Want to sign-up your organisation or group to our partnerships program? We'd love to hear from you.
SeaweedProject.Org is an initiative of the For Good Group, a registered Australian charity set-up by Zero Co founder Mike Smith. The aim of SeaweedProjects.Org is to develop large-scale seaweed farms to tackle climate change, ocean acidification and fishery depletion. The project is in its early stages of development and will rely upon donations from Zero Co to fulfil its mission. Find out more about it here.
In October, we’re launching a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to help fund our first production run of life-changing, planet saving, industry redefining Zero Co products (for your kitchen, laundry and bathroom).
We’re in the process of trying to spread the word about our project as far and wide as possible. The more Aussies who join us on this journey, the more impact we can have in reducing single-use plastic production, consumption and pollution.
